Mental Health
Everyone reacts to stress and traumatic experiences differently. While some have reactions that can be seen as normal responses to life events, others may experience signs or symptoms of more serious conditions.
Mental health and substance misuse conditions can affect anyone; you are not alone. The Military Health System has many resources available to help those who need it.
If you or someone you know needs support now, call or text 988 or chat at 988Lifeline.org. 988 connects you with a trained crisis counselor who can help.

Vance Mental Health utilizes a Targeted Care model which addresses the individual’s needs and vectors them to the appropriate level of care or to the helping agency that can best address their needs. We recognize that mental health can be a sensitive issue and we want to ensure that everyone’s needs are appropriately addressed. Sometimes this means that speaking to the chaplain, SARC, or a military family life consultant may be the better option. No matter the need, we will get you to the helping agency best suited for you. Please call or stop by so we can help you get back on track.
